Journeys 2012

Willoughby Wallace Memorial Library,

Stony Creek, CT

“Journeys”, was a two person exhibit exhibit of watercolors by Orange resident Rosemary Benivegna and metal sculpture by Branford resident Lisa Carlin.

The expression of personal and emotional responses to landscapes and architecture has become the focus of Ms. Benivegna’s work. Surrealistic compositions of simplified geometric or organic forms are rendered in unexpected and dramatic colors.

Sharing a similar journey, Ms.  Carlin presents two series of works. Series 1: In Search of Zen-- Peace, calm, hope… this series is an exploration of finding and keeping them. Series 2: Introspection--reflections on herself, her relationships, people in general and the journeys that we all inevitably seem to share.
